As part of the global 16 Days of Activism for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Cultural Academy for Peace Service Providing Centre (SPC) organized a series of legal awareness sessions across various communities, institutions, and colleges in Ernakulam District.
In collaboration with the Ernakulam District Department of Women and Child Development and SANKALP, these initiatives aimed to educate students, teachers, and women’s groups about the legal frameworks that protect women and prevent gender-based violence. The sessions focused on empowering participants to become advocates for change and equality within their communities.
Between November 25 and December 10, 2024, the campaign successfully conducted seven legal awareness sessions, reaching college students, faculty members, Anganwadi teachers, ASHA workers, and various women’s collectives.
