A Dalit Island near Ernakulam was adopted to focus on their total development.

Flood Relief Project
As part of the Project for Recovery and Resilience of the Flood Survivors of Ernakulam District of Kerala, Cultural Academy conducted various efforts to mitigate the effect of the devastating floods that affected Kerala in August 2018. We intervened by doing repairs of damaged homes, livelihood restoration, WASH activities and development of entrepreneurial skills. The project covered a total of 42 wards in the Ernakulam District.

Pankhi Project
In partnership with TBZ Mumbai, CAP initiated the Pankhi project which aims to help and empower women who are survivors of domestic violence. As part of the project, there is a national helpline that works through implementing partner agencies to provide counseling and rehabilitation to affected women and families.

Community Mediation Centre
Cultural Academy launched its Community Mediation Centre. This initiative fosters peaceful resolutions of conflict within communities. As part of this, trained community mediators guide disputing parties towards out-of-court settlements.

Economic Sustainability Programs – Cloth Bag Making Unit
To promote economic self-sufficiency among vulnerable women and champion sustainable practices, the Cultural Academy for Peace launched cloth bag-making units in Kurangotta, Shanthibhavan, and Kammattipadam. This innovative program achieved remarkable success, with numerous retailers across the Ernakulam region actively sourcing cloth bags from these units.

Disaster Management Programs- COVID Relief Activities
The Cultural Academy for Peace actively engaged in disaster management by providing aid and assistance in affected areas. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Academy offered tele-counseling, legal support, and shelter to vulnerable individuals, particularly women and children. Additionally, the Academy produced cloth masks, conducted awareness programs on public health practices, including social distancing and hygiene, and utilized social media to promote awareness of pandemic prevention measures like double masking and social distancing.

Community College
The Community College Program under the auspices of The Cultural Academy for Peace was started with the aim of providing vocational education to women and young adults who have dropped out of their formal education due to having faced various atrocities and challenges in their lives. The community college helps individuals to develop their knowledge and skills and convert them into employable skills through testing and certification conducted by Cultural Academy.

Digital Literacy Program
The Cultural Academy for Peace launched the Digital Literacy Program which intends to make every citizen digitally literate. Training is provided for primary mobile and social media usage as well as for advanced usage such as emails, e-newpapers, net banking, video conferencing, etc.

Sharing Bazaar
The Cultural Academy launched the Sharing and Caring Bazaar to inspire and motivate society to share their unused and leftover articles with individuals and families in need with the wider aim of promoting sustainable practices and minimizing consumerism.

National NGO Confederation
Cultural Academy for Peace became an implementing agency of the National NGO Confederation a state-level consortium with the membership of over 2500 NGOs with different focus areas and objectives. In its auspices, CAP implements various community development initiatives.
