Congratulations!!! Manasa and Gopika

07/11/2009,- Congratulations!!! Manasa and Gopika

Cultural Academy for Peace from its inception way back in 1990’s strives to empower women and girls through its various projects and programs. As part of its mission of bringing up a culture of peace and reconciliation among children, CAP had initiated peace clubs in selected schools in Ernakulam. We appreciate all these Peace Clubs for their commitment and willingness to be a part of this effort.
Peace Club in schools functions well, with various trainings and other activities. We always try to create opportunities for children to mould them as the catalyst for developmental social change and as part of it we would like to put forward a better chance for the students to attend an Asia Girl child Peace Camp held in Nepal. The camp is organized by Bikalpa Gyan Tatha Bikas Kendra, one of our partner organizations in Nepal which is working for nonviolence, justice and peace with the special focus on women, and girls. This event is organized every year by coordinating girls from different Asian countries with an objective of making them the advocates of peace & gender justice.
This year Manasa Bhalotia from Toc H and Gopika Jairam from Bhavan's Vidya Mandir are going to participate in the camp.

We wish the students all the best.
