Interfaith Programme

Dear Friends,

Sub : “Women seeking nonviolence, justice and peace through interfaith dialogue”

All of us proudly admit that we belong to a multi-religious and pluralistic country. However, the recent sad events in India spell the growth of communal disharmony, fundamentalism and violence. We live side by side without realizing that every religion upholds values dear to the human community. Today more than ever there is a genuine yearning for Peace.

Against the background of this scenario, Cultural Academy for Peace believes that women have a significant role to play to promote better understanding among people of different faiths, and to break the walls of prejudice and misconceptions. Thus it is possible to pave the way to a better world where Peace, Love, Non-violence and Justice prevail.

We are aware that in Kerala there are followers of many religions who live together. The Sikhs, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jains, Bahais, Jews and Christians, all have their own value system which they uphold. As we have invited these different faith –groups we expect maximum participation. This will be a great opportunity to learn about other religions and their values. If Women with a broad vision come together they can share their firm beliefs, and collectively seek to nurture and sustain peaceful co-existence.

Hence we cordially invite you to participate in an inter-active session on:

“Women seeking justice and peace through interfaith dialogue”
